My Record Store Day Purchases
Happy Record Store Day!
I remember when this day happened last year and I didn’t go out. This year I did. I found a local used CD shop that also had a ton of vinyl, but since I listen to most of my music in the car or at work, I decided to eschew the vinyl.
For now. I’ll be back.
Here’s what I got, all used, all on CD, most of which I’m ashamed I don’t already own. Dropped $100 bucks.
Bruce Springsteen:
Nebraska
Born in the USA
The Ghost of Tom Joad
Tunnel of Love
Lucky Town
Human Touch
(I needed to backlog on some Boss)
Neil Young, After the Gold Rush
Bob Dylan, The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration
(which I saw live on Pay-Per-View)
Fleetwood Mac, Rumors
Miles Davis, Kind of Blue
Tom Waits, Rain Dogs
Ronnie Wood, Slide on This
James Brown, Live at the Apollo, 1962
And of course:
Joe Satriani, Surfing with the Alien
I really wanted Hendrix, Axis: Bold as Love, but they didn’t have it.
You don’t have to wait until next year to support your local indie record store. If you missed today, go any time. Record stores are undeniably cool, and next year I’ll be back, all vinyl.
Rock on!
Peace & Love,
@ThatBuddha

You should be embarrassed!
I know. Especially about Miles. That’s unforgivable.
